Courage & Credibility

Miranda Wemyss was raised in rural Alberta where she grew up in an entrepreneurial family of land developers.  Graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Business she moved to the Lower Mainland to join the Tech Industry.

With 20 years in Telecom, Miranda understands how to attract investment, execute a multi billion dollar infrastructure program, innovate for efficiency and build inter-regional and international relationships.  Miranda naturally focuses people, problems and conversations to get things done.  Her business acumen positions her well to navigate economic recovery as the Province faces complicated challenges emerging from COVID-19.

Miranda is a board member of her Electoral District Association, has served on the board of South Fraser Pregnancy Options and has co-led global humanitarian efforts with a focus on water and giving with dignity.

Miranda is married to Ian who is a Pastor at Hillside Christian Church and has three young children Silas, Summer and Judah who attend Surrey Christian School.  They are excited to support her as she advocates for thriving families, a strong economy and the ability to live out purpose and potential in Langley East.

“My joy is contagious; I know what you are good at, let’s live life to the fullest.”
